To him, the December 7 general election was over and that God had seen Ghana through a peaceful election, therefore, Ghanaians should be grateful to God and be united to build the country together.

He also appealed to Ghanaians, especially Christians, to use the celebration of Christmas to show love to the poor as well as the less privileged and share some of their resources with them.

The Bishop made the call when he delivered his Christmas message at the St. Peter Anglican Cathedral at Koforidua in the Eastern Region on Wednesday (December 25).

Rt. Rev. Annancy also asked Ghanaians to be at peace with one another and unite to create the congenial atmosphere necessary for national development.

“Let us bury our differences and forge ahead in an atmosphere of peace and unity and to love our neighbours as ourselves. Let us purge ourselves of all social vices, such as corruption, greed and selfishness. Let us live new lives of peace, love and harmony with one another,” he stated.

He urged Ghanaians to support the incoming President, John Dramani Mahama with prayers to enable him work to improve the socio-economic conditions of the people.
