At a press briefing held at the party’s headquarters on Sunday, December 8, NDC’s General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey stated that the party remains focused on serving the nation responsibly, with its newly secured mandate.
During the address, Fifi Kwetey urged the Electoral Commission (EC) and its Chairperson, Jean Mensa, to ensure that the declaration of results is not unnecessarily delayed.
Highlighting the party’s confidence in the election outcome, Fifi Kwetey asserted that the NDC’s victory was decisive and undeniable.
“We have secured a very significant majority and a majority that we aim to use responsibly and for the progress of the people of Ghana.
“The process as far as the presidential result is also concerned, we will urge the chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensa and her team to make sure the declaration is not unduly delayed because we know for a fact that nothing can be done about it because it is already in the bag.”
