The incumbent Member of Parliament for Mfantseman and Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Ophelia Mensah Hayford, has lost her seat.
She received 23,349 votes, approximately 12,000 fewer than her opponent, Prince Ebenezer Arhin of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), a first-time candidate who secured 35,832 votes.
