The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) says members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have lost faith in their flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, Mustapha Gbande, indicated that some parliamentary candidates from the ruling party are reportedly campaigning ‘skirt and blouse’ in the lead-up to the December 7 general elections.
He further indicated that the NDC will win both the presidential and parliamentary polls.
“We have realised that quite a lot of NPP parliamentary candidates are telling their constituents to vote skirt and blouse. In other words, they are asking people who are even angry with the party to vote for them and then vote for John Dramani Mahama.
“I was wondering a bit, but what I have come to reconcile is that it is an indication that even the NPP parliamentary candidates across the country do not have faith and do not have trust in their leader and their flagbearer.”
