The Chief of Jinijini in the Berekum West Constituency of the Bono Region, Nana Asare Baffour Tutu II, has praised Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for his clear vision to advance the country, particularly benefiting the youth.
Speaking during Dr. Bawumia's campaign visit to Jinijini last night, Nana Baffour Tutu II described Bawumia as an "emerging star" whose vision aligns with the global shift towards digitalisation.
"To the youth of Ghana, I say your emerging star is here. He is Bawumia, the digital man," the Chief declared. "The whole world is going digital, and he has demonstrated a clear vision to take the country forward. So I urge all of you, on December 7, let us vote for Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia to move our country forward."
The Chief also commended the NPP government for the rapid development in the community since it was elevated to district status seven years ago.
"We asked the NPP government of President Akufo-Addo to grant us district status, and that has been duly done," said Nana Baffour Tutu II. "Since then, the level of development we have received here is unimaginable. Some districts that have existed for about 40 years don’t even have the level of development we’ve had in just seven years."
The Chief highlighted key projects, including the ongoing construction of the Agenda 111 Hospital and the District Road Improvement Project (DRIP), which the government has extended to them and other districts across the country.
Dr. Bawumia expressed his gratitude to the Chiefs and the people of Jinijini for their overwhelming show of support. In his address, cheered by a large crowd, the Vice President outlined his vision for the future, focusing on sectors such as agriculture, education, and reducing the cost of living.
He urged the people of Berekum West to support his bid, emphasising that his vision for transforming the country is clearer and more comprehensive than that of his main opponent, John Mahama.
