Osu based Auxerre F/C, a Division Two football club put up a good performance to beat visiting Oblogo Nikwab Professionals 2-0 in their Division Two League match at the Hearts Park in Accra on Sunday.
Auxerre's striker Stephen Aidoo meandered his way through the defence of the visitors to score the opener in the 14th minute.
Nikwabs tried to improve on their game plan in an effort to find the equaliser but most of the chances they created were wasted due to erratic shooting and over elaboration.
Against the run of play, Auxerre's attacker Raphael Okyere capitalised on a defensive blunder to slot in the second goal in the 44th minute to end the first half in their favour.
On resumption of the second half, Nikwabs again sustained their pressure on the home side to reduce the goal deficit but their efforts failed to achieve the desired results till referee A.S. Zakari whistled for the end of proceedings.
