Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni says talks with Kenyan presidential candidate, Raila Odinga, touched on issues concerning the two neighbouring countries after they met at State House Entebbe last evening.
Mr Odinga, considered one of the front-runners in the 9 August presidential elections, had paid a courtesy call on President Museveni.
In a tweet about the meeting, Mr Odinga said: ”We walked down memory lane to discuss the shared history of our countries aimed at forging stronger ties moving into the future".

Two days ago, Mr Odinga was in South Sudan where he met President Salva Kiir and commissioned the 3.6km Freedom Bridge that is expected to ease the transportation of goods across the River Nile.
A record 55 presidential candidates have been cleared to contest in Kenya's election.
Mr Odinga is expected to face a stiff challenge from another front-runner, Deputy President William Ruto from the Kenya Kwanza coalition.
Kenya's elections matter in the region because of its entry point for imports to landlocked countries such as Uganda, South Sudan and the DR Congo.
The region would be wary of a disruptive election reminiscent of the 2007 polls that took an economic toll on them.
