Augustine Blay, the Secretary to the Vice President has charged the youth and TESCON to stand up fiercely to protect the gains of Nana Akuffo Addo’s led-government.
He said the youth and TESCON must trumpet the positive impact of the governing New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) achievements to everyone within their respective networks.
Mr. Augustine Blay was the keynote speaker at the Bibiani College of Health Science TESCON event.
Speaking on the theme: the role of TESCON in breaking the 8, Mr. Blay took time to eulogise the youth for their continued immeasurable contributions towards the NPP electoral fortunes or outcomes.
In recognition of TESCON’s continuous contributions, Mr. Blay recounted the invaluable role it played in 2012.
He indicated that TESCON was instrumental in gathering evidence- pink sheets for the election petition.
“How the youth collated the results and made it possible for the party to mount a credible charge against the EC and the NDC was remarkable.”
He also recounted the role TESCON played during the 2016 and 2020 elections which brought victory to the party.
He charged the youth to continue to uphold the tenets upon which TESCON was formed and work hard to enable the party achieve its ultimate goal of breaking the 8 year jinx.
Mr. Blay charged the youth to take advantage of the various social intervention programs and policies the NPP government has instituted to advance their course and improve upon their livelihood.
To Mr Blay, the commitment and resolve of TESCON, their track record of pulling through for the party over the years, combined with the achievements of the Nana Addo government make TESCON a new “natural force” in the Ghanaian political landscape.
This “natural force” will once again come true for the NPP to break the 8 and make history.
Dignitaries which graced the occasion included Lawyer Henry Nana Boakye, the National Youth Organizer, Samuel Kofi Abiaw, the Regional Secretary of the NPP and chairman of the occasion, Hon Alfred Amoah, MCE for Bibiani Ahwianso Bekwai, Hon Kwame Asamoah, Presiding Member for BAB District Assembly, Gabriel Doe, Regional Youth Organiser and many constituency executives.
