A staunch member of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) National Communications Team, and a former Parliamentary Candidate for the Kpone Katamanso constituency, Mr. Hopeson Adorye, has spoken favorably of Lawyer Justin Frimpong Kodua (JFK), the NPP General Secretary hopeful, for the latter’s resolve to address the party’s internal electoral adversities through digitization if elected into office.
Speaking on Oman (107.1) FM’s Talkshow on matters relating to the NPP internal elections mishaps and the way forward, Mr. Hopeson Adorye seized the opportunity to applaud Justin Frimpong Kodua (JFK) for his proposed digitization approach to addressing the NPP internal electoral challenges when given the nod as the party’s General Secretary.
Hopeson went further to catalogue a number of positive impact the initiative could have on the party’s internal electoral outcomes.
Mr. Adorye has been on the same page with Lawyer Justin Frimpong Kodua on the position that the party risks the opportunity of breaking the 8-year jinx if drastic measures are not taken to curb the current and potential internal electoral irregularities.
Lawyer Kodua has consistently stated that as a party, we cannot consistently repeat the same things and expect a different and improved results. He maintains that these things are bad indicators that portend catastrophe for the party in its preparations ahead of the 2024 General Elections.
Lawyer Kodua, has proposed several other digitization solutions which will be considered under his administration. Notable amongst them has been the introduction of the NPP Electronically Generated Electoral Forms (E-Forms).
He has copiously explained the effectiveness of this system in addressing the electoral challenges of the party and building party cohesion.
This, like his other interventions, has received remarkable acceptance by party people; enjoying appreciable media space, particularly when the incumbent General Secretary, John Boadu, at his press conference on 10th March, 2022, announced that the party was going digital starting from the Electoral Area Coordinators Elections. Reacting to this announcement, majority of NPP faithfuls and sympathizers have questioned the competence of the current General Secretary, John Boadu.
Other digitization interventions unveiled by Lawyer Justin Frimpong Kodua (JFK) are:
1. Introduction of the NPP Electronic Register (E – Register).
2. Introduction of the NPP App for the collection of membership dues and other payments to the party.
3. Introduction of NPP Electronic Information Hub (EIH).
4. Establishment of a Call Centre.
5. Reintroduction of the NPP Biometric Membership ID Cards.
6. Introduction of Electronic Reporting System (E – Reporting).
7. Streamlining the party’s website to make it more interactive for vibrant social media engagement.
These, he has promised to implement within the first 100 days when voted into office as the next General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party in June, 2022.
