Namibia's President Hage Geingob and First Lady Monica Geingos are said to be "on course for a speedy recovery" after they both tested positive for Covid-19 last Wednesday.
The couple is self-isolating at their residence, according to a statement by the Namibian presidency.
The statement says both the president and first lady are in a stable condition and in good spirits - and neither has been admitted to hospital.
Claims had surfaced that the president might be in intensive care, the Namibian site reports.
