South African lorry drivers whose plan for a protest against the hiring of foreign nationals was blocked have caused disruption in other ways.
Members of the All Truck Drivers Foundation (ATDF) are calling for jobs being done by immigrant drivers to be handed to unemployed South African drivers instead, according to news site The South African.
Despite the Gauteng High Court banning Tuesday's planned "national shutdown", the news site quotes Johannesburg's police spokesman as saying lorries were deliberately blocking at least one road in the city.
