Mr Ignatius Akwasi Amankwah, District Chief Executive of Bodi, has began a community visitation effort to educate the public on government's policy interventions and programmes.
He said programmes and interventions like the Free SHS, Planting For Food and Jobs, Youth in Agriculture amongst others were initiated by government to benefit the ordinary people and urged the public to take advantage of them to improve upon their living conditions.
The launch dubbed "Take Advantage of Government Initiatives" was also to brief members of the community about some government initiatives like the Cocoa Rehabilitation, Cocoa Pollination, Afforestation, Free Senior High School, Youth in Agriculture among others.
In separate meetings with members at Bechyirewere, Suano, Kwasikrom, Besease, Bokabo, Dokukrom, Tumantu, Anorkrom and Amoaya, Mr Amankwah said his outfit is working hard to make their lives better and would continue in that effort.
He said the assembly has initiated many projects including the bungalows at Bodi for the staff of the Assembly, the ten-seater toilet facility for Suano, Amoaya, Datano, Kafukaa and Patakro; the mechanised bore-hole for Kafukaa, Patakro and some other communities, the reshaping of some roads in the district; and distributing of desks to basic schools in the area.
He said besides initiating the new projects, he was also continuing with the ongoing projects started by his predecessor of which some were completed and others were at the finishing points like the road from Afere Suano to Bodi, the District Magistrate Court at Bodi, a six unit classroom block at Amoaya, the Ahebenso clinic and an ICT Centre at Kwasiadukrom.
