President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Friday began a four-day working visit to the Central Region.
This is a continuation of his nationwide tour, which had already taken him to Brong-Ahafo, Western, Volta, Northern, Upper East, Upper West and Ashanti.
The President would engage with the chiefs and people in Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abirem, Cape Coast, Gomoa West, Mfantseman, Agona West and Efutu Constituencies.
His activities start with a durbar of chiefs and people in the Komenda Traditional Area.
President Akufo-Addo would also inspect the Komenda Sugar Factory and inaugurate the Peterfield Citrus factory built in Komenda, under the “One-District One-Factory (1D1F)” initiative.
He would later perform the official ceremony for the establishment of a Tourism Enclave Re-development Scheme in Elmina.
There would also be the inspection of a 300-acre sweet potato farm under the 1D1F at Gomoa Bewadze, and inauguration of a 20 mega watts solar farm at Onyadze, in the Gomoa West Constituency.
He would additionally interact with traditional and religious leaders in Apam, Mankessim, Nyakrom and Agona Swedru.
President Akufo-Addo would be the Special Guest of Honour at the investiture and induction ceremony of the fourth Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba, and also be inaugurating the largest lecture theatre in Ghana.
He ends the tour on Monday, September 17, 2018.
