Mr Victor Abdul Satarh Quarshie Adonoo, the Greater Accra Regional (GAR) Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has appealed to party leadership to intensify efforts to attract more followers at the grassroot level.
He also urged Party members to follow laid down structures within the NDC to address their grievances.
Mr Adonoo made these remarks in his annual report to the ninth GAR Conference of the NDC at the Central Cafeteria of the University of Ghana, Legon, Accra.
The Conference is on the theme: "Capturing Greater Accra! Strong and Determined Leadership."
Over 1,000 delegates have converged at the venue to elect regional officers, who would steer the affairs of the Party for the next four years.
In all, 76 candidates are vying for the various regional officers’ portfolios.
Mr Adonoo said the Regional Executive Committee of the Party had a plan to work towards the building of a permanent Regional Head Office.
Mr Joseph Ade Coker, Chairman, GAR, NDC, urged delegates to conduct themselves with civility.
