“It is our seat and we lost it to the NPP, the seat is  coming back to us , let us work towards annexing it,” Alhaji Braimah who is the Ejura Sekyedumasi Municipal Assembly  Chief Executive told the enthusiastic crowd here at Ejura.

The Ejura Sekyedumasi seat was won by Muhammad Salisu Bamba of the NPP (incumbent), who defeated Alhaji Mohammed Issifu Pangabu of the NDC at the 2012 general elections.

Alhaji Braimah said the NDC administration has done a lot to improve the living conditions of the people of Ejura Sekyedumasi over the years and its presidential candidate, President John Mahama deserves to be given another four-year term to continue with the good works.

The NDC parliamentary candidate said the government had done a lot and urged the electorate to come out in their numbers on December 7 to vote and retain the NDC as well as give him the mandate to effectively partner the government to deliver more development projects and programmes.

Alhaji Braimah said the area had seen remarkable improvement in road network, education, health infrastructure with the provision of more schools and Community based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compounds.

He said the social protection policy of the assembly has helped improve the income levels of people who are predominately farmers; explaining that the assembly has introduced standard measurement of maize which has helped to give the farmers a better deal.

Alhaji Braimah who affectionately called “Adwumawura” meaning a workaholic, said he is the preferred candidate.

The Deputy Ashanti  Regional Minister, Andy Osei Okrah, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NDC, Yaw Obimpeh Y, Sidi Abubakari , National Youth Organiser of the party were among the speakers who extolled the achievement of the government and urged the electorate to retain the government and win back the seat.
