The second annual South African wind conference, Windaba, jointly organised
by SAWEA (South African Wind Energy Association) and its partner, GEWC
(Global Energy Wind Council) was held on 22 to 24 October in Cape Town.
The SAWEA Industry Awards were introduced for the first time this year.
Johan van den Berg CEO: SAWEA explained that these awards were introduced to
honour exceptional performance by companies and individuals in the wind
sector.
Cennergi received an award for their contribution to the wind industry in
South Africa at the gala dinner function.

that Cennergi is playing in South Africa's Renewable Energy Independent
Power Producers Programme (REIPPP)."

The company is confident about the project's future. Cennergi CEO, Thomas
Garner, said, "These projects add great value to Cennergi's expanding
portfolio of renewable projects and are good examples of the potential that
