CNBC AFRICA hosted 'A View from the Top' with South Africa's Public
Protector Advocate, Thuli Madonsela, on Wednesday, 31 October, at the
Mount Nelson Hotel in Cape Town. The event was presented by the channels
acclaimed political and economic journalist, Karima Brown and will be
broadcast on Monday, 5 November at 9:30pm.
Thuli Madonsela has been South Africa's public protector since 2009 and
has dealt with numerous controversial cases, including that of Julius
Malema, after irregularities relating to a R52m tender, alleged
maladministration at the Gamaragara Municipality in the Northern Cape and
the shortage of textbooks at schools in the Eastern Cape.
"Apart from our coverage of the markets and economies, CNBC Africa's role

During her interview the Public Protector emphasized her role in
strengthening South Africa's constitutional democracy and how she
consistently works with government, media and the public to expose
misconduct.
