 Your Thursday evenings on etv Ghana just got better!
The much awaited ‘A-Plus show’, launched some few weeks back, is set to hit ETV screens this Thursday at 10pm. The show will be hosted by A-Plus, known in real life as Kwame Asare Oteng, one of Ghana’s finest rappers in the music industry and a popularly-acclaimed satirist.
The one hour stand up comedy show will touch on the lighter side of things ranging from politics to everyday life. The ‘A Plus show’ is also designed to serve the purpose of a social commentary and will be used to foster unity among politicians and their supporters.
Some interesting segments of the show include musical performance which will have the artiste seated among the audience, the adventure of Mr. Siaw, a five minute drama comedy which will be performed by Kwame Amu of Okay FM and Clement of ‘Mr. Beautiful fame’. Other segments of the show include the stand up comedy show, which will be the climax of the show and will be interlaced with mind boggling interviews.
General Manager of etv Ghana, John Osei Tutu Agyeman says ‘we are very much excited to be airing this exciting TV series on our platform. In line with our brand promise of bring quality television to our viewers and Ghanaians, we are very much aware of the relaxation this show will be bringing to our viewers and as such, we are asking all Ghanaians to tune in to etv Ghana on Thursday at 10pm prompt for a show that will get Ghana talking. In this programme, the host does not adopt the usual Ghanaian comedians’ delivery style. He looks at everyday incidents in the life of an ordinary Ghanaian, especially those travelling from the village to settle in Accra for greener pastures’.
At the launch of the show some few weeks ago at the University of Ghana, A Plus gave the audience made up of representatives from the main political parties in the country a laughing treat, making them forget momentarily about their political affiliations.
