Airtel Ghana, winners of the Best Customer Service in the telecoms industry at last Friday’s Ghana Telecoms Awards Ceremony says it is dedicating the award to all its esteemed customers.
Airtel Ghana was adjudged the ‘Best Customer Service’ company in recognition of its dedication to serving its customers. The category was one of the few that was mainly decided on by the general public through votes. According to the organisers, Mobile World Magazine, the Best Customer Service category was introduced to give customers of the various telecoms companies in Ghana the opportunity to vote for the company they felt better met their customer service needs.
According to the Director in charge of Customer Service at Airtel Ghana, Anne Grant, the move is in appreciation of the faith Airtel customers placed in the brand from the first day it was launched. “You brought out the best in us. It was our desire to give you the best customer service and innovative products and services that pushed us to excel”, she added.
Mrs. Grant said the Airtel Brand was already the favorite of more than 218 million customers worldwide, and offered a consistent and familiar customer experience wherever Airtel customers find themselves in the world. “We aspire to be the most loved brand in the daily lives of Ghanaians and your endorsement strengthens our resolve to provide you with the best-in-class services always”, she added.
In addition to the Best Customer Service Award, Airtel Ghana also received two prestigious awards, namely the Best CEO and the Best Marketing Campaign for 2010.
On his part, the Head of Corporate Communications at Airtel Ghana, Donald Gwira, was confident about Airtel Ghana’s ability to continually provide the very best services to its customers. “Through the strength of Airtel and our commitment to innovation, our customers will have access to the latest technology and the widest range of innovative services at affordable cost”, he said.
He further promised that Airtel would continue to raise the bar of customer service excellence in Ghana at all its customer touch points. “We have embraced a ‘by your side’ philosophy and these drive our actions”, he added.
