Christians across the country on Tuesday gathered for church service to celebrate the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ in Accra.
The birth of Christ is significant since it paved the way for mankind to be saved from their sins.
In Accra, churches were decorated with Christmas trees, lights, ribbons and flowers.
The Day is also being marked with get-togethers, family re-unions, parties as well as exchanges of messages of reconciliation from friends and relatives.
At the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Kaneshie Branch, the congregation danced to drumming and singing from the church band to the glory of the Lord.
Reverend Moses Faith Nyomi-Nyamadi, District Pastor of the Church, in a sermon, urged Christians to show love to each other and share gifts with the poor and the needy in society.
He said the birth of Jesus Christ was to redeem Christians from their sins, since he is a unique savior from the Almighty God and reminded them to use the day to make a sober reflection on their life.
He prayed for the peace of the country and called on Ghanaians to continue to exhibit tolerance and love for the growth and development of the country.
