The Right Reverend Dr Daniel Yinkah Sarfo, Anglican Bishop of Kumasi, has expressed concern about the increasing polarization of the country on ethnic and political lines cautioning that it was not good for the nation's stability.
All Ghanaians, politicians, religious leaders, young and old must share in the blame.
In a Christmas message issued in Kumasi on Thursday, he said; "We all therefore need to repent and confess our guilt at this Christmas to Jesus Christ, who came to save his people from their sins."
"We need renewal and transformation," Rev Dr Yinkah-Sarfo said and that it was time the
people buried political, religious and ethnic differences and built a prosperous nation."
Rev Dr Yinkah-Sarfo said Ghanaians should put their trust in God and allow Him to lead and direct the country since no political ideology or manifesto could save the country.
He also drew attention to the need to ensure peace and unity and said these were the key planks to support the nation's democracy and development.
The Bishop appealed to the Government to always try and build consensus with the opposition at all levels in the implementation of its development
agenda.
He asked the public, especially Christians, to preach and practice unity, goodwill, love and peaceful family life, which were necessary ingredients for national development.
