Dr Lawrence Tetteh, a Ghanaian international
evangelist, based in the UK, at the weekend called on Christians not to forget their basic responsibilities to build a better Ghana that will be a safe haven for all.
He said it was the duty of every Christian to encourage hard work and dedication towards the building of a peace and stable country.
Dr Tetteh made the call in an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Accra, after leading a team of Christian professions to undertake missionary work in the country.
He was the guest of the Korle Gonno Cathedral of the Light House Chapel International in Accra, where he addressed the October 7- October 9, "More
Than You Can Carry Convention, 2009".
Dr Tetteh also addressed a crusade of the church in Takoradi and is billed to participate in inter- denominational church service to be hosted
by the Cape Coast Council of Churches in Cape Coast at the end of the month.
He said the leadership of the church must not water down the Christian principles that had made what Ghana is today.
Dr Tetteh said the church must know the role Christians from all walks of life played in the fight for the freedom of Ghana.
"I believe that it is the fear of God that has brought Ghana this far."
Dr Tetteh described the crusades as very successful since the ability of God to work out His signs and wonders happened to the glory of His holy name.
