The Ajumako District Magistrate's court, presided over by Mr Kwasi Boakye Enimil, on Thursday sentenced one Albert Odoom, a barber, to 14 months imprisonment for attempting to steal and causing damage.
Odoom pleaded guilty while his accomplice, Kobena Arhinful 16, pleaded not guilty to the same charges and was remanded in police custody to re-appear on Sept. 24 2009.

He said on Sept. 7 2009 the two accused person were spotted on the roof of the shop with a pair of scissors in a bid to remove some of the iron sheets to enable them to enter the shop.
Inspector Koranteng said Madam Buaduwaa with the assistance of some neighbours managed to arrest Arhinful and handed him over to the Nkwantanum Police but Odoom escaped.
He said Odoom was arrested the following day at Breman Essiam upon a tip-off and the two were arraigned before the court.
