MYROC Group of Companies, a Tema food processing company, on Thursday donated one carton of schnapps and five boxes of canned Tuna, totalling 300 dollars, to the Tema Traditional Council towards their annual Homowo celebration, which falls on August 14.
In addition, the company donated a cash of 500 Ghana Cedis.
Mr Emmanuel Asante, General Manager of MYROC, who donated the items on behalf of the company, said it was its widow's mite, towards the Homowo celebration of the chiefs and people in the Metropolis.
Mr Asante assured the Traditional Council that since majority of the company's 1,100 staff were from the Tema Manhean area, everything possible would be done to ensure industrial peace at the workplace, as well as within the traditional area.
Nii Adjei Kraku II, Tema Mantse thanked the company for the gesture, and assured that the items would be put to good use.
Nii Kraku hoped the donation would go a long way to strengthen the existing cordial relations between the company and the traditional council.
