Dr. Robert Awuah-Baffour, Vice President, Ghana Telecom University College on Friday asked students to eschew indiscipline
and other social vices and concentrate on their education to earn them a
better futurer.
"As sailors on the GTUC ship, you are reminded to study hard to make
the necessary impact in the society", he added.
Dr. Awuah-Baffour, speaking at the fourth matriculation of 162 students added: "Your certifcate is as good as how you present yourself".
He urged them to abide by the school regulations adding,
"Otherwise you will be thrown out of the GTUC ship".
"You are ambassadors of the school, therefore, exhibit good character
both at school and your respective communities.
Dr Awuah-Baffour said the school was initiating a community service programme as part of the GTUC education, "This will enable graduates to support their locality in any area of service".
Ms. Durosinmi Juwonlo Adeola, a representative of the students said as the best science and technology training institution in Africa, the school would, in no small way contribute to bridging the technological gap that had so far existed between Africa and the western world.
She promised, on behalf of his colleagues to work hard to promote the vision, image and aspirations of GTUC.
