The Nyinahin Magistrate's Court on Monday sentenced a 48-year-old farmer, Yaw Manu, to nine months imprisonment for stealing palm seedlings valued at 128 Ghana Cedis.
Prosecuting, Police Inspector Napoleon Isaac Asherow told the court, presided over by Mr Augustine Essah that for sometime now the complainant, Kofi Boakye, 61, has been detecting the theft of his palm seedlings.
He said on January 8, 2009, Manu went to the complainant's house and stole 60 palm seedlings.
Inspector Asherow said Manu was later arrested and handed over to the police.
He said after investigation Manu was charged with the offence.
