Mr. Unas Owusu, Brong-Ahafo Regional President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, has urged Ahmadis to show love
and kindness to their neighbours, irrespective of religious affiliation.
He said such love and kindness would promote peaceful co-existence in
their communities.
Mr. Owusu, who is Assembly Member for Techiman Ahenebronoso electoral
area was speaking at the Khilafat Centenary celebration of Mission in
Techiman.
The celebration was attended by more than 600 delegates drawn from
the 12 Jamats in Techiman circuit of the Mission.
Mr. Owusu called on Ahmadis to live in unity and show love to each
other as the Mission entered its second centenary in Ghana.
Addressing the delegates, Maulvi Yusuf Bui-Salih, Brong-Ahafo regional missionary in-charge of the Mission enumerated the achievements of Khilafat Ahmadiyyat, which include schools, hospitals and humanitarian projects throughout the world.
He asked Ahmadis to seek spiritual guidance to enable them to lead exemplary lives as manifested in the divine teachings of Allah.
Maulvi Bui-Salih lauded the leadership of the Khilafat in Ahmadiyya
Mission and described it as a distinguishing feature between the Ahmadis
and other Muslims across the globe.
Osofo Abubakari Ishaque, Techiman circuit missionary, said the spiritual leadership in Islam was necessary in offering guidance and direction, hence the Khilafat in the growth of Ahmadiyya in the world.
He indicated that spiritual leaders of Ahmadis were always guided by Allah and urged the people to show respect to the Khilafat.
Nana Minka Ameyaw, Chief of Bono-Manso, commended the Mission for its achievements and contributions to national development.
Nana Mohammed Twi-Brempong, Chief of Takofiano and Atimpemhene of Techiman traditional council, expressed satisfaction about the peaceful co-existence of Ahmadis in the municipality and asked them to continue to live in peace.
There were fraternal messages from other Muslim sects, including Orthodox and Al-suna-wal Jamat.
