“The future of every child who walks into our classrooms largely hinges on us and we must endeavour to shape their minds, words, actions and attitudes”, he urged.

Mr Budu gave the advice when he addressed the 2025 delegates’ conference of the Atebubu District branch of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) held at New-Konkrompe in the municipality, which elected new executives to steer the affairs of the Association.

The conference also offered the opportunity for the association to reflect, identify and proffer solutions to the emerging challenges confronting the teachers.

Mr Budu said the directorate was aware and working hard to tackle the challenges facing teachers in the area, however urged them to redouble their efforts to improve the academic performance of the school children.

He advised the conference to also deliberate on emerging issues and recommend actions that would help uplift the teaching profession and improve the academic environment for effective teaching and learning.

Describing the association as the backbone of education and the architect of the nation’s future, Mr Budu commended them for their selflessness and dedication to serving the nation, pledging the Directorate commitment to facilitate improving the condition of service and welfare of teachers.

He said the Ghana Education Service valued its relationship with GNAT, calling for strong collaboration to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
