The Food Crisis Prevention Network (RPCA) will hold a meeting on 15 and 16 April 2025, in a hybrid format at the OECD Conference Centre in Paris and online. Members will discuss the food and nutrition situation in the Sahel and West Africa based on the final results of the 2024-2025 agropastoral campaign and analysis of regional and international agricultural markets.
The meeting will address the impact of the prolonged food and nutrition crisis, compounded by security-related violence and socio-political unrest, on regional food trade and food security. Sessions will cover geopolitical and financial challenges, strategic reflections on the RPCA's role in strengthening co-operation around food issues, and analysis of the agropastoral food and nutrition situation, including market functioning and responses to crises.
