Acting CEO of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Prof. Nana Ama Browne Klutse, has called for stronger efforts to ensure inclusivity and access to quality education for girl child across Africa, especially in male-dominated and challenging fields.
She made the remarks on April 8 during her keynote address at the National Launch of the Africa Educates Her Phase II campaign.
The event, themed Unlocking Girls’ Potential, STEM and Beyond, aimed to raise awareness of the barriers preventing girls in Ghana and the sub-region from fully accessing education, particularly in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Prof. Klutse highlighted the EPA’s ongoing commitment to gender-sensitive environmental governance and the integration of inclusive policies that promote educational opportunities for girls.
