He noted that there was the need for the chiefs and political leaders to collectively to ensure progress, and improvement in the wellbeing of the people.

Ndan Ya-Na Mahama Abukari was speaking when the regional minister paid a cour­tesy call on him at the Gbewaa Palace in Yendi yesterday, to seek his blessings as he (minis­ter) assumed duty.

Ndan Ya-Na said “You are my son, and I will support your leadership to achieve the goals you have set for yourself to ensure the development of the region”.

Ndan Ya-Na Mahama Abu­kari, asked the minister to open his door to the traditional au­thorities and people, to ensure the development of the region.

Mr Nburidiba, thanked the Ya-Na for supporting him throughout his appointment and vetting.

The minister assured Ya-Na that he would work with the Gbewaa Palace and the other traditional authorities in region to promote peace, unity and development.

“My priority is to ensure that I work with all traditional authorities and stakeholders in the region to ensure free- con­flict in the region, for prog­ress”, Mr Nburidiba said.

He noted that the Ya-Na, the directors of the North­ern Regional Coordination Council(NRCC), and Regional Security Council (REGSEC) were all ready to assist him succeed.

The minister was accompa­nied to the palace by the Acting Chief Director of NRCC, Mr Sumaila Ewuntomah Abudu, other directors and Security services
