Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor II, Paramount Chief of the Buipe Traditional Council and Vice President of the National House of Chiefs has called for lasting peace in Bawku.

He made this appeal during a courtesy visit to the Overlord of the Dagbon Kingdom, N-Dan Ya-Na Abukari II, following his election as Vice President of the National House of Chiefs.

Buipewura Jinapor II assured N-Dan Ya-Na Abukari II that the long-awaited Dagbon Constitution would be approved at the next National House of Chiefs meeting scheduled for February 14 in Kumasi.

The Ya-Na described the visit as historic, noting that Buipewura Jinapor II was the first Vice President of the National House of Chiefs to visit the Ya-Na Palace.
