The Ghana Center for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana) has congratulated Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang on her historic election as Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and as the first woman to be elected to the high office.
In a congratulatory letter to the Vice President-elect dated December 30, 2024, the Center recalled "with exceptional pride" that Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang served on the Governing Board of CDD-Ghana from its founding in 1998 until her appointment as Minister for Education in 2013.
The Center expressed the hope that, as Vice President, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang will continue to champion the issues and causes that are both central to the mission of CDD-Ghana and vital to Ghana's national development, including transparent and accountable governance, integrity in public life, and inclusive social and economic development.
The Center wished the Vice President-elect good health and success in her new role in the service of Mother Ghana.
