The Ghana Police Service has strongly dismissed reports alleging the training of militiamen in Kwahu, Eastern Region, in preparation for the 2024 general elections.
In a brief statement, the Police noted that after conducting an investigation, they found no evidence supporting these claims.
“The Police have commenced an investigation to identify those behind the false publication to come and answer for their actions in line with the due process of the law.”
The Ghana Police Service also warned the public against the publication and dissemination of fake news, urging everyone to be responsible in their communications.
“We wish to caution the public against the publication and dissemination of fake news.”
