The organizers of the Ghana Under Tertiary Awards have unveiled the highly anticipated second edition of this prestigious event, poised to honor exceptional accomplishments among students in both Senior and Junior High Schools. The CEO of Pierian Spring Africa, Mr. Michael Chris Tetteh, announced the launch, urging students in Under Tertiary Schools to boldly pursue endeavors that align with their future aspirations and hold the potential to make a meaningful impact on society.
With pomp, splendor, and a celebration of academic brilliance, Pierian Spring spectacularly concluded the maiden edition of the Ghana Under Tertiary Awards 2023 on October 20th, 2023. The grand event, held at the main auditorium of Methodist University in Dansoman, Accra, highlighted the outstanding achievements of tertiary students nationwide, acknowledging excellence across diverse categories.
Pierian Spring, the masterminds behind this esteemed recognition, distinguished themselves by extending beyond conventional award ceremonies. Preceding the awards night, the organization orchestrated a series of impactful events, including insightful campus leadership seminars. Among these, the "SAY NO TO DRUG ABUSE" seminar held on January 20th, 2023, at Legon Presbyterian Boys Campus (PRESEC), and the "AFTER SCHOOL WHAT IS NEXT" event on June 23rd at Wesley Grammar Senior High School stood out. Esteemed professionals from diverse fields lent their expertise to these seminars.
Additionally, initiatives like the FREE SPA session at ALLEYS SPA and the lively Hangout Party during the Easter period were devised to ensure a holistic and enriching experience for nominees beyond the realm of award recognition.
The Ghana Under Tertiary Awards 2023 garnered an overwhelming response, drawing in over 5,000 student applications. Following rigorous deliberation, the award scheme's board meticulously selected 500 students, with only 9 exceptional individuals emerging as winners in their respective categories.
The Board of Directors of the Ghana Under Tertiary Awards 2023 played a pivotal role in the event's success. Mr. Peter Kofi Dabie, Chairman, Ayisha Ibrahim, Secretary, Mr. Michael Chris Tetteh (C.E. O of Pierian Spring), and Mr. Jamal Abu Mohammed lent their expertise to the board.
The distinguished Mr. Kwasi Kwarteng, P.R.O of the Ministry of Education in Ghana, graced the awards night as the esteemed special guest of honor, articulating the invaluable benefits of free senior education initiated under the leadership of His Excellency President Nana Akufo-Addo.
The night's entertainment, curated by the burgeoning Afrobet Artist, Hevvy Evvy, managed by Pierian Spring, added dynamism and vibrancy to the celebration, captivating the audience.
