The school which was built to promote and advance science and technology education would equip students in the area of STEM and Art disciplines through interactive teaching and learning using the state-of-the art facilities in the school.

The intention of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) project was to equip the students in the area of STEM to provide the human resource and backbone for industry, especially those under the One District One Factory (IDIF)

The President reiterated the need for STEM education which had become essential in the current generation where technology was fast advancing the world.

He said STEM education was the future of education in the country and future education in the world.

He called on students to take advantage of the full complement facility provided and be encouraged to take up courses in future to enable the country have the needed human resource for industry.

“I hope to see an increase in enrolment next year and I pray children from Abomosu take advantage of the facility,” he said.

The Deputy Minister in charge of Technical Vocational and Technical Education, Mrs Gifty Twum-Ampofo was grateful to the President for providing the education sector with such facility through the GETFund.

She urged traditional leaders to ensure to advise the youth to take advantage of the facility and not allow it to go waste.

She also urged parents to constantly engage their children and make their education a priority while encouraging them to do STEM and TVET which is the future of education and development of the country.
