Juliet joined Google in 2011 as Director in West Africa and country manager in Nigeria. As the director of Google in West Africa, she was responsible for leading Google’s strategy and business growth in the region and driving the strategy for users in Africa. With Nigeria as Africa’s largest internet community, Juliet was charged to develop a series of innovative products to build the online ecosystem in the country. She designed initiatives to make the internet more available and affordable in the country.
Educational Background
Juliet Ehimuan holds a Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria in 1994 and a postgraduate degree in computer science in 1997 from the University of Cambridge. In 2008, she obtained an MBA in strategy, entrepreneurship, and organizational behaviour from the London Business School in England. Currently, Juliet is pursuing a Ph.D. in Business administration and organizational leadership at Walden University.
Career Background
Juliet worked as a Telecom engineer in Shell petroleum development company in 1995 for three years. She later joined Microsoft in 1998. Initially, she was a business process manager for the company’s global sales and marketing department. Later, she became the business process manager for MSN International covering 11 subsidiaries worldwide.
In 2005, she ventured into entrepreneurship and founded SI Consulting Ltd in the UK. This was a firm that provided consultancy in strategic business development and team leadership for companies. For four years, Juliet delivered an E-business strategy for Zenith Bank in Nigeria. She also co-developed an online citizenship strategy for MSN International, among other things.
In 2009, Juliet joined Chams Plc, a leading ICT firm in Nigeria, as General Manager of strategic business units. There, she was responsible for leading and formulating strategies for Chams’ Strategic Business units.
Juliet Ehimuan has made significant contributions to the online presence of many Africans. She is the founder of Beyond Limits Africa, an initiative aimed at building the capacities of young Africans and helping them become the best of themselves. The platform provides the youth with educative mentorship programs to help them discover their full potential. It also organizes sessions of masterclasses where Juliet treats topics related to different aspects of life.
With her expertise, Juliet promotes Nigerian businesses by helping get Nigerian movies, music, and fashion on YouTube.
Juliet Ehimuan is recognized globally for what she does. She was recognized by the London Business School as one of 30 people changing the world and was ranked in the Forbes 20 Youngest Power Women in Africa in 2011.
