A US-based citizen from Santrokofi, Mr Philip Ofosu, has presented some health items to the Santrokofi Health Centre.
The items include; two blood pressure monitors, two pulse oximeters and two infrared thermometers at the cost of GH¢3,000.
Mr Immanuel Okra Boateng, a community development advocate, based in the United States of America, presented the items on behalf of Mr Ofosu to the health facility.
"What motivated Mr Ofosu to undertake this programme is his love and concerns about the development of his community."
He said as community advocates, it was important to extend help to the facility to provide adequate health to clients and appealed to the government to as a matter of urgency renovate the facility.
Mr Boateng noted that since the facility was not under any administrative authority, it was difficult to address the challenges of the facility.
Madam Rejoice Esinam Doe, Midwife and Head of the facility, expressed gratitude for the items and promised they would be used for their intended purposes.
She called for the rehabilitation of the facility due to inadequate space and the unhygienic state of the washrooms.
Madam Doe said the walls of the facility and the roofing sheets were no longer in a good state and called for individual and benevolent organisations to come and support them.
