A Pediatrician at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, Dr. Josephine Abankwa-Opoku has debunked the assertion that children are not affected by the Covid-19 virus.

She said though the severity of the disease in children is lower than in adults, the new strain of the pandemic gives cause for worry.

In an interview with GBC News on ensuring the safety of children as basic schools resume Friday, January 15, Dr. Abankwa Opoku asked parents to educate their children on the disease.
