Ghana's COVID-19 cases Wednesday hit 15,013 with the Ghana Health Service confirming 445 new infections across the country.
The country's health management body in its latest update, via a designated portal, also confirmed that 171 persons have recovered from the virus, bringing the total recoveries to 11,078.
The death toll, however, remains 95, from the last update, with the active cases being 3,840 active cases.
Currently, 24 cases are considered severe with six patients in critical condition and on ventilators.
The new infections, according to the update, were recorded in eleven regions.
They include Greater Accra- 284; Western- 65; Ashanti- 48; Northern- 16; Western North - 10; and Eastern- seven.
The rest are Volta - seven ; Central - four; Bono East- Two; Savannah- one and North East- one.
So far, a total of 280,116 tests have been conducted.
Out of this, 98,822 are from routine surveillance with 181,294 from contact tracing. The positivity rate is 5.36 per cent.
The latest infections take Greater Accra's total to 8691, representing almost 60 per cent of the national total.
Ashanti, Western and Central regions also have cases tallying 2,915; 1,213 and 798, respectively.
