The day-long exercise, which accessed residents at their homes and vantage points in the various communities including market centres, border posts, streets and beaches aimed at preventing the spread of the virus.

The team visited homes and public places in Aflao, Denu, Agbozume, Klikor, Blekusu, Agavedzi, Agorko, Akporkploe, Anoenu Adina, Adafienu and other communities with the message on what to do to stay safe in the wake of the novel Coronavirus.

Madam Evelyn Klokpodzi, the Municipal Director, NCCE in her message throughout the engagement with the people called on them to observe the precautionary measures proposed by health systems such as personal hygiene, avoiding large crowds and social distancing and possibly staying home to curtail the spread of the pandemic.

She urged the residents to also comply with "the President's directives on closure of the country's borders and suspension of all social gatherings especially funerals because those directives are only meant to protect us from the disease."

Madam Klokpodzi said everyone had a role to play to ensure the disease did not get to the border Municipality as any record of confirmed cases of the virus in the Municipality could have far reaching implication for the country.

The exercise by the Ketu South NCCE is part of a nationwide exercise with logistical support from the Church of Pentecost.
