According to the Police, the DNA samples collected from the families of the missing girls seem to match DNA materials of the bones retrieved thereby confirming that the bones retrieved are indeed the missing girls.

While commiserating with the families and the entire nation on this sad loss, we call on the police to do further deep throat investigation into the incident.

It is also imperative that the families request for an independent DNA test from a reputable organization on the bones, better known as a "control testing" to confirm the results from the Police.

Taking into accounts of the high cost of DNA testing, we want to use this medium to appeal to well-meaning Ghanaians to assist the families to be able to pay for the cost of independent DNA test to confirm and to be sure that the remains are indeed their daughters, so they can be given a befitting burial as customs demands.

CenVI, GH,  however, wish to take this opportunity to call on the President, H.E. Nana Akufo Addo to exercises his authority to end this heinous crime which is threatening peace and security of the country.

The government should also take steps to equip the police and other security agencies with modern gadgets including Close Circuit Television(CCTV) cameras on the streets to help in the fight against crimes in the country.

Ghana has been universally acclaimed as a beacon of peace, law and order and everything must be done to safeguard this enviable record entrusted to the government by the citizens.
