The African Youth SDGs Summit Secretariat is soliciting your inputs and views to inform content for the 3rd African Youth SDGs Summit.
The African Youth SDGs Summit is Africa`s largest youth gathering on the Sustainable Development Goals. Launched in 2017, the Summit has evolved to become an important multi-stakeholder platform for the youth, national governments, UN entities, local and international organisations and the private sector who have advanced their participation and use of the summit platforms to introduce and promote their flagship programs targeted at the role of the youth within the SDGs implementation.
The summit secretariat is committed to pushing further the summit platform towards an ever more inclusive, progressive, thought provoking and critically engaging programme, engaging duty bearers and young people to demonstrate beyond commitment to actions.
The 3rd edition of the summit is due to be held in June 2020 in Accra, Ghana and would coincide with the 5-year milestone since the adoption of the SDGs. This would therefore be an absolutely critical moment to mobilize commitments across the region, and across the world, on the Global Goals over the next 10 years and beyond.
As part of efforts to ensure the summit addresses critical issues affecting young people on the continent, the secretariat is consulting young people on issues that should be prioritised and featured in the summit programme. This consultation will identify top five (5) youth priorities which should be the focus of discussions during the summit.
We want to invite you and your constituent to contribute to this consultation by completing the form HERE [1] .Should take less than 5 minutes to complete.
DEADLINE: 30TH AUGUST,2019
