The Institute of Directors–Ghana (IoD-Gh) has inaugurated its Northern Regional chapter to oversee its operations in the Region.
An interim 10-member executives was also inaugurated to steer its affairs in the Region.
They were inaugurated at a seminar on good corporate governance and IoD-Gh membership information talk held in Tamale on Wednesday.
The seminar in Tamale was the eighth of the nationwide engagements by the IoD-Gh, and it was attended by heads of public and private organisations, security agencies, religious, and educational institutions among others.
Mr Rockson Dogbegah, President of IoD-Gh, who inaugurated the interim executives, said the IoD-Gh would put up a corporate governance index as well as organize an award in November, this year, where over 42 industries from public and private organisations would be honoured.
Mr Dogbegah also made a presentation during the seminar taking participants through governance, leadership, performance and value creation emphasizing the need for good corporate governance to improve productivity.
An orientation was held for the interim executives on how to effectively run the affairs of IoD-Gh in the Region.
