The Catholic Association of Media Practitioners, Ghana (CAMP-G) has renewed its pledge to help in the evangelisation mission of the church by using their profession as communicators to help propagate the church’s activities.
The pledge was made when members of the Association called on his His Grace, Archbishop John Bonaventure Kwofie at his office at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Accra on Thursday, 23rd May, 2019, to congratulate him on his appointment and installation as the fifth Bishop and the third Archbishop of Accra.
Led by the President of the Association, Mrs Victoria Lugey, the members said that they saw the Archbishop’s appointment as buttressing his love for humanity especially, the poor and vulnerable in society in the realm of Evangelisation and also his desire to continue the good works of his predecessors.
The Association prayed that Christ’s faithful in Accra would offer His Grace the needed support and assistance to champion the Evangelisation mission of the Church. Members of CAMP-G reiterated their readiness to align themselves to the promotion of the activities and projects within the Archdiocese of Accra as well as in other dioceses throughout the country.
Archbishop Kwofie was thankful to the Association for their continued support in the activities of the church and urged them to do more in making the church heard wherever they are. He noted that a lot happens in various parishes but these activities don’t get the needed publicity.
On the recent security alert in the country, he noted that the church was putting measures in place to make the parishes more secure for the catholic faithful.
