Mr Anthony Kobina Kurentsir Sam, the Chief Executive of the Sekondi- Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly (STMA ) has stressed the need for residents in the Metropolis to seek building permits before undertaking development projects.
He said proper planning of the city had become imperative in order to keep the city tidy.
The MCE was speaking at the launch of a week's development control week programme on the theme: " Obtain your permits before development". Mr Sam in this regard urged individuals and companies developing any parcel of land to obtain proper documentation.
He said development permits were valid for five years and should be renewed after completion of the projects.
Mr Sam said all building projects that failed to go through proper documentation and permits and were sited by the roadside would be removed in order to create room for easy movement and to keep the city tidy.
