The Van Moorhouse Foundation (VMF), a charity organisation founded in the United Kingdom with a branch in Ghana, has been launched at the Jehovah Rapha Orphanage in Suhum in the Eastern Region.
The Foundation, as part of its vision to reach out to the less privileged in Ghana, donated educational toys, reading books, pampers, food, soft drinks, shoes, water, and clothing for the children at the Jehovah Rapha Orphanage.
Vanessa Moorhouse, the Founder of VMF Charity, expressed the importance of helping the less privileged and how that could make a difference in the communities. She gave a brief history of how VMF was founded and how far it had come, adding that VMF is committed to engaging in humanitarian services in diverse ways and promised to continue with that commitment to support the needy.
Mr Jonathan Obeng, the Coordinator of the Jehovah Rapha Orphanage, who received the items, expressed gratitude to the VMF for the assistance and encouraged other organisations to emulate the Foundation’s gesture.
The Chief of Suhum, Osabarima Ayeh Kof, who chaired the programme, unveiled the VMF Plaque with Vanessa Moorhouse and thanked the Charity for the good work across the country and putting smiles on the faces of the orphans during the festive season.
He encouraged them to continue to look out for the underprivileged and expressed his happiness to join the VMF family. Alhaji Mohamed Yirbito, an Army Chief Officer and a Patron of VMF, expressed appreciation to the entire team for the selfless efforts and encouraged individuals and corporate organisations across the nation to partner, volunteer, or sponsor the VMF while pledging his continued support towards its work.
