Reverend Samuel Adeyemi, Senior Pastor of the Daystar Christian Centre, Nigeria, has commended the Jospong Group of Companies for their vision in expanding its operations to some parts of the West African sub-region.
He described the company’s vision as an amazing thing coming out of Africa.
Reverend Adeyemi, who is also a Renowned Nigerian Motivational Speaker, was speaking at the 2019 Jospong Leadership Conference organised at the Pentecost Convention Centre at Gomoa-Fetteh in the Central Region.
The 2019 theme for the Jospong group is “Transform to better Perform”.
He indicated that “Jospong is more than a business. It’s a movement established by God to transform lives in Ghana, Africa and the World”.
Reverend Adeyemi admonished staff of the Jospong Group not to be sitting on the sidelines, but to rise up and be counted by giving in their total commitment to be able to out-deliver and out-hustle the competition.
Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, the Founder and Executive Chairman of the Jospong Group in his welcome address thanked President Akufo-Addo for his commitment to environmental sanitation by setting up the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources which is dedicated to achieving the President’s vision of making Accra the cleanest city in the sub-region.
He recounted some achievement of Zoomlion Ghana Limited, a subsidiary of the group, in the waste management sector as solving Ghana’s 100-year problem of disposing faecal sludge directly into the sea by the utilisation of an ultra-modern faecal treatment plant constructed by the company at lavender Hill in Accra.
Dr Agyepong said the Jospong Group’s unending efforts to solving Ghana’s waste management problem led to the establishment of the Accra Compost and Recycling Plant, Kumasi Compost and Recycling Plant, Teshie and Achimota waste transfer stations, among others.
He touched on some projects the company will be undertaking in 2019 to help achieve the President’s vision of making Accra the cleanest city in the sub-region, including; the One Million Bin distribution environmental care campaign with the Church of Pentecost, and establishment of 10 mobile composting and recycling plants.
Others are; a liquid waste treatment plant in Kumasi in partnership with Pureco from Hungary and 150 plastic recycling plants in the districts, among others.
The Jospong Leadership Conference is an annual leadership training programme for staff of the Jospong Group and brings together top executives to develop strategies for the year.
