KRIF Ghana Limited, dealers in office equipment and consumables, on Monday donated a reinforced office cabinet security safe to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) to help protect vital official documents.
Mrs Susan Awura Adjoa Okosun, the Executive Director, said it was part of the company’s social responsibility (CSR).KRIF Ghana, she added, had embarked on broader CSR programme to donate 52 security safes to government institutions for protection and preservation of important documents.
“Government institutions need to protect official and state documents which are vital to the nation.”“At KRIF Ghana we believe the state and private sector must work together for accelerated development”, Mrs Okosun stated.
She said their CSR project, was meant specifically to ensure that “as many public institutions are served with the Diplomat Safes to facilitate the safety of very important documents, medical samples reports and medical supplies in health care facilities”.
They were determined to supply fireproof/burglar proof safe to government institutions and agencies that needed to keep documents securely and safely for as long as required.“Our decision to make this donation to the GNA today is due to our conviction that real partnership with the media serves in no small way as a catalyst that triggers rapid development of a country and ensures the well-being of its population”.
Mr Kwaku Osei-Bonsu, Acting General Manager of GNA, said they were grateful to KRIF Ghana for the gesture.He said he was confident that the donation would mark the beginning of an enduring and mutually rewarding partnership between the company and the national news agency.
