Nana Opare Kwaafo I, Kyidomhene of Aburi Akuapem in the Akuapem South District has called on all chiefs to collaborate with each other to contribute to the development of the country.
He said there were many deprived communities that needed their attention and support and they could only do that the chiefs worked together to spread development projects across the country for the benefits of all.
Nana Kwaafo also the Managing Director of Jilicon Construction Company in Accra, made the call in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Otoase in the Ayesuano District of the Eastern Region on Wednesday.
He mentioned some of his contributions to society as the construction of a Mission House for Otoase Presbyterian Church, a Community Centre comprising a durbar ground and entertainment centre for the people of Otoase Odentenkurom, Otoase Amanforo, construction of the Marfokrom Presbyterian Church building at Ayensuano, among others.
Nana Kwaafo said there were many plans ahead to provide development projects to communities far and near and pledged 200 bags of cement as his contribution towards the construction of a Community Library at Adoagyiri in the Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipality.
Nana Okooansuro Afutu Dompreh II, the Chief of Adoagyiri and Ankobeahene of Akim Kotoku Traditional Area expressed gratitude to Nana Kwaafo for his promise and called on other chiefs to emulate his example.
He called on individuals and organisations to lend their support to projects in the communities.
